Belmont B-Roll for Frontline's Romney Doc

Producer Lauren Ezell and cameraman Ben McCoy were in Belmont Center on a beautiful late summer afternoon looking for some atmosphere.

McCoy was filming two middle school students sitting on a bench in the small common adjacent to Belmont Savings Bank.

"You can keep sitting there," said McCoy as he filmed the girls from behind. The girls didn't seem to mind the intrusion into their lunch.

The pair were from PBS Frontline, the documentary series on Public Broadcasting produced out of WGBH in Boston.

"We are shooting some B-roll in Belmont, working on a film about the next presidential election. And we are shooting footage today for the (Mitt) Romney side of the show," said Ezell.

The two-hour special on the biographies of Romney and President Obama will air Tuesday, Oct. 9.

since Romney won the Republican Presidential nomination. Frontline follows a crew from Japanese television and a crew from RTL-Nederland from the Netherlands just to name a few foreign or national seeking a view of Romney's hometown.

"We're looking for some nice shots to emphasize his time spent here," said Ezell as McCoy filmed the activity along Leonard Street.
