Belmont High Actors Take Home Top Honors at MET Awards
Scordino and Dalby win along with the Lighting Design for PAC's "Grease" at the first ever MET Musical Awards.
Paraphrasing the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, it was a man's world for Belmont High School's Performing Arts Company production of the Broadway hit musical "Grease" as the two male leads won their respective categories as Belmont won a total of three awards at the inaugural Massachusetts Educatoral Theater Guild's Musical Awards held Tuesday, June 11 at Boston's Paramount Theatre.
John Robert Scordino as Danny Zuko won for Best Lead Actor and Henry Dalby as Teen Angel for Best Featured Actor in this year's Spring Musical directed by Chris Brindley.
In addition, Belmont High won for Best Lighting Design led by Chris Fournier.
The Paramount audience got to see a portion of the BHS PAC award-winning production as David Green and Pauline Dent performed "Mooning."

Of the 50 high schools that entered, Belmont High School's "Grease" took home 16 nominations, more than any other production.
The MET Musical Awards is an educational program sponsored by Broadway in Boston and run by the METG as a way of recognizing outstanding performance and production values as displayed by Massachusetts high schools and middle schools during the course of the theater season.
