Belmont To Hold Prescription 'Take-Back' Saturday

Belmont Police to lead effort in taking old drugs out of town homes.

The Belmont Police Department and the DEA will be hosting a prescription drug Take-Back Initiative Sept. 25 to prevent abuse and theft of old, unused and expired prescription drugs.

This coming Saturday's Take-Back Initiative is to prevent abuse and theft of old, unused and expired prescription drugs.

The drugs are highly susceptible to misuse by family and friends. In addition they can be improperly disposed of and end up in our environment, posing a potential health hazard.

 The Belmont Auxiliary Police will have a collection point set up at the DPW Yard at 37 C St. on Saturday, Sept. 25, open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  Old or unused prescription drugs may be dropped off for free with no questions asked.
