The outdoor arts festival, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 21, was given an enthusastic thumbs up from the Selectmen.

Donata Barber, owner of UnCommonFinds on Common Street and a member of Think Big-Think Belmont, said the festival, which will include art for sale along with other events and open houses, will showcase another of Belmont's business centers which she said is garnering the attention of new businesses with the success of stores and restaurants as well as the anticipated approval of the large retail/resident Cushing Village developement.
"[Artitude] will give the square an event that will bring people out to learn more about the area," she said after the meeting.
