Belmont's Fred Astaire Dance Studio raise $3,300 for One Fund

To support the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

To support the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, the Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Belmont held a “Teach-A-Thon” event until 10:30 p.m. on Friday, May 31, to have fun and dance, raising $3,300 for the One Fund Boston

Seven professional Fred Astaire Dance Studio teachers gave private lessons for $100 and $10 “dance card” dances during the studio’s regular “practice party”.

“Ballroom is fun, social, musical and rhythmic, and now it is giving back to a wonderful cause,” said Earl Batol, the Belmont studio director.
