Belmont, Trapelo Renovation Work Complete
Roadways are now ready for state-sponsored repairs.

Finally.
The water main improvement project, the source of traffic delays and detours along Belmont's busiest thoroughfares; the Trapelo Road and Belmont Street corridor, was completed last week, according to the town's Community Development Office.
The project replaced the water pipes and other utility wires along Trapelo Road from the Waltham line to the split with Belmont Street in Cushing Square and finally, along the aforementioned Belmont to the Cambridge line.

Beginning some time next year, the state will begin an extensive renovation of the same stretch of roads.
While the work along Belmont and Trapelo is complete, the renovations on upper Concord Avenue, cutting off a preferred way from Belmont Center to Lexington and Waltham, continues as the work crews attempt to beat the winter and cold weather.
