Celebrating Farmers' Market Week in Belmont

Tastings, a raffle but most of all, great produce and food.

Thursday was sunny and warm, a perfect combination to bring out residents to the Belmont Farmers' Market and to celebration Massachusetts Farmers' Market Week.

The day was marked with raffle tickets, prizes and give aways and tastings from Belmont's best restauranteurs to mark the day.

Savinos Grill's Tom Cutrone, who was busy with Boston Restaurant Week, created a concoction of mango and other ingredients that took some of the late summer heat away.

But it was the vendors who the people came to see, purchasing breads, produce, salsa, old fashion sodas, ravioli and baked goods.
