The sixth-annual Save A Life Hoop Shootout will be held Saturday, April. 27 from 11 a.m. 'til 3 p.m. in the Belmont- Watertown United Methodist Church's gym.
The event raises money to by life saving malaria prevention bednets for poor African families. This year, our youths will camp out on the church lawn Friday evening, April 26 to dramatize the need for these nets and hold a bake sale during Saturday's event.
To participate in the Hoop Shootout, simply sign up some sponsors who will make a donation for each basket you make from the free-throw line in two minutes. There is no minimum number of pledges required. We have 8-foot and 10-foot baskets available for players of all ages.
