Final Appointment Vote For School Committee Vacancy Switched to Monday

Conflicting schedules among the eight members of the Belmont School Committee and Belmont Board of Selectmen has forced a delay in the final vote to fill the vacancy on the School Committee.

The vote of the combined board and committee scheduled to take place on Friday, Sept. 27 will now occur on Monday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m. in the Selectmen's Room in Belmont's Town Hall.

Former Belmont School Committee member Elizabeth Gibson and Lesley University's Dean of Faculty Lisa Fiore received the same number of votes in two rounds of voting on Monday, Sept. 23. They will replace Pascha Griffiths on the committee.
