It Must Be Summer: Underwood Pool Opens Thursday
One hundred plus one years of use by residents; will this be the final year?

The Underwood Pool will celebrate its 101st year when the historic facility opens for the 2013 season on Thursday.
The lifeguards in their red suits will be at the ready to welcome residents on Thursday, June 20 for another summer.
The schedule for the first week is:

Thursday, June 20: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday, June 21: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday, June 22: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, June 23: Summer Blast-Off Party from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Resident membership cost is $210 for families, $140 for adults and $100 for children. For membership purposes a family will consist of two adults (parents) and a maximum of four children. For families with more than four children there will be an additional fee of $10 per child. In these instances, birth certificates will be required for all children in the family to prove relationship.
But get your membership now; the price will be going up as of July 1.
Memberships can only be purchased in the Recreation Office, located in the Homer Building in the Town Hall complex on Moore Street, or online here.
Day passes – $10 for adults and $5 for children – can be purchased at the pool and are payable by check only and proof of Belmont residency is required.
In addition, there are swimming lessons for children as young as four. They are $58 per session which lasts a week.
