The Belmont Municipal Light Department has postponed the first Precinct Meetings for the 115 kV System Upgrade Project scheduled for the Beech Street Center tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 15. There are no scheduled precinct meetings at this time. In a statement issued today, Sept. 14, the BMLD indicated that it continues to be in the process of finalizing land negotiations and interconnection design requirements and costs for the $40 million electrical substation projected to be located at the Purecoat North site on Hittinger Road .  "We want to bring you the most thorough and up to date costs before we go to Town Meeting.  Please be patient as we develop these final pieces.  We will be sure to keep you informed as to our next set of meetings," the statement read.
