For those registered Belmont voters who qualify for absentee voting on Tuesday, please be reminded that in-office absentee voting is underway at the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall from 8 a.m. until noon.

Inactivated voters, under State Law, are those who did not return the 2013 Town Census.  In order to vote on Election Day, the voter must present an ID verifying the address, and sign an affirmation of residence before being given a ballot.

These voters will be notified by postcard over the next few weeks but for tomorrow, Cushman suggests that all voters carry identification when going to the polls to make this process go smoothly.

Questions may be addressed to the Town Clerk’s office via e-mail or by calling the office at 617-993-2600.
