A 22-year-old Belmont resident was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle on upper Concord Avenue. By the end of the week, the victim was out of the hospital.  The Belmont Light Department reduced an anticipated double-digit rate increase in 2013-14 to six percent. The Grove Street Playground's soccer fields will be closed in July and August so the Belmont Soccer Association can resod the parcels. Incoming Belmont High 9th graders began workshops involving iPad tablets which the they will be using in the fall. McLean Hospital signed an agreement with the state that will allow the phycatirc facility to increase the number of beds by 17 percent and double the size of the Admissions Building. Belmont's Farmers Market begins its 8th season in the rain. A Belmont mom is thanking Belmont's first-responders by dedicating a bench at the new Joey's Park to them.
