The MassEquality Political Action Committee has endorsed State Sen. Steven A. Tolman for reelection. "Sen. Tolman has pledged to co-sponsor  the Transgender Civil Rights Bill and he is a strong backer of marriage equality," said MassEquality Executive Director Kara Suffredini. "This is a critical election. Nearly half of the seats in the Massachusetts state legislature are in play and it is important that we re-elect pro-equality lawmakers," she said. "I am so pleased to receive this endorsement from MassEquality," said Tolman. "I have enjoyed working with them on many issues that impact our citizens' civil rights, and I admire their grassroots efforts on behalf of so many people across the Commonwealth.  We share a commitment to social justice and equality and I look forward to continuing my service in the Massachusetts Senate."   The endorsement of Tolman for state senate is the latest in a string of endorsements of pro-equality incumbents and challengers for the Sept. 14 primary.  MassEquality works to achieve full equality for the LGBT Community. They protect marriage equality and promoting a full Equality Agenda in Massachusetts and supporting other states in winning marriage equality.
