Town-Wide Basketball Clinic Set To Tip Off

Four-nights of instruction and activities for players in third through eight grade.

Carla Berube, Tufts University's Head Women's Coach and member of 1995 NCAA Division I national championship team at UConn, will be the featured speaker on the first night of the annual Marauder Basketball Youth Clinic that runs for four nights this year.

Held in the Wenner Field House in Belmont High School, the clinic – which includes T-shirts for all players – will include drills, stations, games, lectures, and contests. There will be no formal teams or records kept, just friends, basketball and fun.

The sessions, on Oct. 24, Nov. 7, 14 and 21, will include instruction from a staff made up of Belmont High School basketball coaches, players, alums, former High School coaches and youth coaches.

All proceeds go directly to the Marauder Basketball Association and help with our yearly goals of funding team scrimmages, supporting senior scholarships, and providing financial support to the basketball program.

Since its start, clinic proceeds have helped purchase practice jerseys, team video cameras, pre-game shooter shirts, and this year we donated a new scorers table to Belmont High School.
