The 8:15 a.m. fire brought traffic to a stop in the busy intersection of Common Street and Trapelo Road. Belmont Police closed Common from Trapelo to Palfrey Road for nearly 40 minutes while fire fighters battled the blaze for nearly 15 minutes.
