Wanted: Rocket-Launching Future Scouts
Boys in first to fifth grade are invited to see what scouts do at the Chenery this afternoon.

Local Cub Scout Troop 377 is looking for a few good men (well, boys) to help launch rockets.
As part of their annual membership drive, the Cub Scouts will be transforming the Chenery Middle School playing field into Cape Canaveral North as the group fires off soda bottle rockets into a low earth orbit.
The fun – and believe me, it is fun – will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. today, Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Chenery.

The cub scouts are specifically inviting boys in the first to fifth grade who have expressed interest in scouting or might be interested in scouting – especially after sending soda bottles into space – to attend and ask questions. They can also go online and visit the scout's website for more information.
