1 Person Flown To Hospital After Shooting In Beverly: Police

The shooting happened in the area of Simon Street Saturday night.

BEVERLY, MA — One person was flown to a local hospital following a shooting Saturday night in Beverly, authorities said.

The Beverly Police Department was called to the scene of the apparent shooting, which happened at about 7:15 p.m. in the area of Simon Street. When police arrived at the scene, they found a person who was suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds, police said.

The person was transported to an area hospital by helicopter, and their condition is not known. Police said it appears the incident is isolated in nature, and there is currently no danger to the public.
