5 Things (Balch Raffle Deadline Extended) to Start the Day: Oct. 30

Here are five things to start your day in Beverly:

1. The deadline for the Balch raffle for a fireside Thanksgiving dinner has been extended to noon today due to the storm. Check out more about the raffle here. 

2. We hope Sandy didn't cause you too much trouble yesterday. Be sure to take a look at our photos from the storm and add your own here. 

3. Today's Weather, according to the National Weather Service, is forecasted as showers with patchy fog before 11 a.m. High near 65 degrees with a southeast wind around 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

4. Reminder: Trash pickup was cancelled yesterday and will resume this morning. For the remainder of the week, everyone's trash pickup will be one day behind.
