Beverly Consignment Store Opens Online Marketplace
Plum Consignment has launched an online-only store five years after opening on Cabot Street.
BEVERLY, MA – Plum Consignment has shipped clothes and accessories across the nation by selling items though its popular social media pages. The thrift store, which opened on Cabot Street in 2012, is taking it a few steps further.
Plum Consignment launched Worthy Girl this month: An online only shopping site for gently used and new-with-tags women's clothing, shoes, and accessories. Worthy Girl's inventory will be separate from Plum's, and Plum Consignment will continue operating at 156 Cabot St.
"We’ve already been shipping around the country via Plum Consignment's social media pages, so why not scale it up and take Plum’s standards of quality, style and values online to make it more accessible to fashion lovers and bargain hunters nationwide," said owner Pam Hulbert in a news release.

"I don’t want my customers to feel like they’re shopping second-hand or settling for something used," said Hulbert.
Hulbert and her husband Jonah Hulbert, Worthy Girl's director of design and social influence, graduated from Endicott College in 2002, and have been North Shore residents for more than 18 years.
