Beverly Fire Dept. to Remember Sept. 11 Victims on Thursday Morning

A remembrance service is planned for Thursday morning at the Beverly Fire Department to remember the victim of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Beverly will remember the victims of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 during a remembrance service at the Fire Department headquarters on Thursday.

The members of the Beverly Fire Department will assemble at 9:30 a.m. and just before 9:55 a.m. will raise the flag, ring the bell and say prayers, according to Fire Chief Paul Cotter.

The service will remember the victim of the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, Flight 93 in Shanksville, Penn. and at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. 13 years ago.

In Boston, Gov. Deval Patrick and other state officials will honors the victims of the attacks at a flag lowering ceremony and a reading of the names of Massachusetts victims on the steps of the State House at 8:30 a.m.
