Route 128 Brush Fire: Beverly Firefighters Fight 1-Acre Blaze

BEVERLY, MA – Firefighters were at the scene of a brush fire in the area of Route 128 by exit 19 on Tuesday evening, according to the Beverly Fire Department.

According to a post on the Beverly Fire Department Facebook page, Truck 1 and Engine 5 responded to the 1-acre brush fire between exits 18 and 19 on Route 128 southbound. Three car accidents on the highway occurred around the same time.

The extent and origin of the fire is unclear. Outside burning was suspended on Monday due to high fire risk.
