Beverly Franco-American Club Reopens
The Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission lifted the club's suspension on Monday.

BEVERLY, MA – The Franco-American Club has reopened two months after the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission suspended the club's liquor license.
On Monday, the commission decided to reverse its indefinite suspension of the club's license, which was suspended in October after the ABCC found the club hadn't filed a list of club officers every year.
The commission reversed its decision when the club provided its annual reports from 2004 to 2017 and an application for change of manager and new officers. Clubs like the Franco-American must submit their officers to the ABCC, and the officers are subject to background checks. The local licensing board reviews applications of the officers and votes on whether to approve them.
