Beverly High Fall Sports Tryouts Set To Begin
Football conditioning practice starts Aug. 19 with golf on Aug. 21 and the remaining sports on Aug. 22.

BEVERLY, MA — A large pumpkin-spice iced coffee and the return of high school athletes to the playing fields for the first practices of the season are the surest signs that fall is nearly upon the North Shore.
For Beverly High student-athletes, the fun begins on Aug. 19 when the first varsity football conditioning practice kicks off at 7:30 a.m. on the Beverly High turf field. Freshman players are asked to arrive at 2:30 p.m. for their practice from 3 to 5.
Football practice continues the next day on Saturday with golf holding its first round of swings on Aug. 21 at 3:30 p.m. at the Beverly Golf & Tennis Club.

Most of the remaining sports return to the fields on Monday with field hockey practice on the high school turf field at 7:30 a.m., volleyball for juniors and seniors at the high school at 8:30 a.m. with freshmen and sophomores at 11, girls cross country in the fieldhouse at 9 a.m., boys cross country at the Panther Paw outside the fieldhouse at 9 a.m., boys soccer at 7:30 a.m. on the middle school turf, and girls soccer at 10:30 a.m. on the high school turf.
Boys soccer and girls soccer will have double sessions on Monday.

The first cheer practice of the season is Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the fieldhouse.
All student-athletes must complete their registration before being eligible for tryouts.
