Beverly Kernwood Drawbridge Repair Restrictions This Week
The bridge connecting Beverly and Salem will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic starting at 7 p.m. each night.
BEVERLY, MA — Ongoing repair work on the Beverly Kernwood Drawbridge will limit travelers to one lane of alternating traffic starting early evening this week.
The repairs to the deck operations will begin at 7 p.m. and conclude at about 5 a.m. each morning on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
During this time, police will direct traffic through the work zone with additional delays to be expected.

The drawbridge will remain open to marine traffic during this time.
All work is weather dependent and subject to cancellation or modification.

This work is part of an ongoing $2.6 million district-wide drawbridge operations and repair contract.
