Beverly Police 2016 Statistics

Here's a look at how many calls for service Beverly Police responded to in 2016 compared to 2015.

BEVERLY, MA – The number of calls to Beverly Police in 2016 remained consistent with 2015, with a slight uptick in calls regarding overdoses, and roughly 10 more arrests.

Officer Mike Boccuzzi, Beverly police spokesperson, said in 2016 there were 22,213 calls for service to the Beverly Police department. Of those calls, 99 were for overdoses – 74 of which were opioid-related.

In 2015, there were 80 calls regarding overdoses, and 59 of those were opioid related. The number of calls were from the first day in January to the last day of December. Boccuzzi said the numbers from 2015 to 2016 remained consistent, as it is most years.
