Beverly Runaway Boulder Causes School Gas Leak, Dorm Evacuation
The Beverly Fire Department said the Landmark School dorm was evacuated and gas was shut off to the building for repairs.

BEVERLY, MA — A dormitory at the Landmark School in Beverly was evacuated for a gas leak on Friday after a boulder rolled down a hill into a gas meter on the side of the building.
Beverly fire said crews responded to a report of a gas odor and helped make sure all residents were out of the building and that the utilities were shut off. National Grid crews also responded and made reports.
"Thankfully this is school break for Landmark and very few students were on campus," Beverly fire said.
