Beverly, Salem Kernwood Bridge Area Lane Closures Set For Friday

MassDOT officials said there will be one-way, alternating traffic in the area between Bridge Street in Beverly and Sargent Street in Salem.

BEVERLY, MA — Drivers looking to get from Beverly to Salem, and vice versa, on Friday will have to contend with additional delays because of lane closures in the area of the Kernwood Avenue drawbridge.

The state Department of Transporation said there will be one-way alternating traffic between Bridge Street in Beverly and Sargent Street in Salem from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. so crews can conduct repairs and crack sealing work.

The work will consist of bridge deck maintenance and pavement crack sealing along portions of Kernwood Avenue at the approaches to the Kernwood Bridge.
