Beverly Student Collects More Than 150 Lbs of Food For Local Pantry

For his youth service alumni group fall service project, George Fox collected more than 150 lbs of food for the Salem Pantry.

BEVERLY, MA – Beverly High School Sophomore George Fox collected more than 150 lbs of food and $175 for the Salem Pantry through his food and fund drive with the North of Boston Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

Fox conducted the drive for his fall service project with the Project 351 Alumni Leadership Council. Project 351 is a youth service organization in Massachusetts made up of 8th grade service ambassadors from every municipality in the state.

Fox's drive culminated at the North of Boston CVB Holiday Luncheon earlier this month, but will continue at Ocean Chic Boutique in Salem through the holidays. The boutique is also promoting shopping for a cause this year: 10 percent of sales in December will go to local nonprofits. Shoppers can mention the Salem Pantry at checkout to ensure a contribution be made to the organization.
