Bomb Squad Called for Pressure Cooker Found Along Beverly Street

A bomb squad was among the emergency crews that were called to a Beverly street on Thursday morning.

The State Police bomb squad joined Beverly police and firefighters investigating a suspicious item behind Dane Street Church on Thursday morning.

NECN reported that a pressure cooker was found in the area of Charnock Street. A photo posted to Twitter showed emergency crews set up along Knowlton Street near Charnock Street, behind the church.

Kevin Friel tweeted (seen below) just before 10 a.m., that crews had been focused on a pressure cooker that was all alone on a street corner. The crews left the area at about 10 a.m., he said.
