Briscoe Principal Poska Not Chosen for Arlington Position

Arlington Public Schols announced in a press release Monday that Matthew Janger was chosen for the position of Principal of Arlington High School. 

Beverly's Briscoe Middle School principal Matt Poska had been one of the four finalists for the position.

Prior to assuming his position at Briscoe, Poska was the Assistant Principal of Beverly High School and the Assistant Principal and Director of Athletics at Saugus High School.

Dr. Janger will officially assume his responsibilities as Principal on July 1, 2013.

Dr. Janger brings to his new role strong administrative and teaching experience, as well as a deep understanding of best educational practices in schools.  He has a thoughtful, approachable leadership style and a good sense of humor,” said Dr. Kathleen Bodie, Arlington Superintendent of Schools.
