College Students Reported Fighting, Urinating In Street

The following was provided by the Beverly Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police log: 

Friday, Sept. 28

  • Police were called to a sibing argument on Cabot Street at 10:24 a.m. Police arrested Adam Jordan, 22, of 599 Cabot St., on charges of assault and battery and assault by means of a dangerous weapon. 
  • A homeless person was reported laying on a West Dane Street staircase at 3:15 p.m. Police said the man was heavily intoxicated and could not stand on his own. He was transported to the hospital. 
  • Police said a woman called 911 several times at 4:11 p.m., but would not state any particular issue. Police went to her residence on May Street, but she would not open the door for them, but said she was being theatened over the phone. Police asked if she would like to report a crime or threat but she said no. 
  • Trees were reported stolen on West Street at 6 p.m.
  • A jacket and wallet were reported stolen at Starbucks at 7:20 p.m.
  • An assault with a dangerous weapon was reported on Cedar Street at 8:56 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 29

  • Police received several complaints of a loud party on Mason Street at 12:19 a.m. Police said complaints included loud students fighting and urinating in the street. Police notified the residents of the city's noise ordinance and said next time there would be arrests made. 
  • An attempted burgulary was reported on West Dane Street at 12:25 a.m.
  • A loud party was reported on Northridge Rd at 1:24 a.m.
  • A loud party was reported on Bow Street at 1:33 a.m.
  • Police were called to the Beverly/Salem Bridge on report of a person standing on top of the bridge. The person told police he was just looking at the boats. 
  • At 12:53 p.m. police arrested Stephen Logan, 43, of Buxton Maine, on warrant charges. 
  • A bicyclist was reportedly struck by a vehicle on Enon Street at 4:43 p.m.
  • At 5 p.m. police were called to One Stop Market on report of an intoxicated person who would not leave. 
  • Police were called to Winthrop Avenue on report of two girls fighting in the street at 6:55 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 30

  • A loud party was reported on Essex Street at 12:01 a.m.
  • A loud party was reported on Enon Street at 1:11 a.m.
  • A vehicle was reportedly vandalized on Ives Street at 12:42 p.m.
  • Police were called to Pond Street on report of a suspicious man in a pickup truck who approached a group of kids at 7:06 p.m. Police searched the area but did not find anyone, and said the report about what happened changed several times.
