Off-Duty Danvers Firefighter and Beverly Police Revive Car Crash Victim
The efforts of the firefighter and police saved the man's life.

BEVERLY, MA β When off-duty Danvers Firefighter David Morin Jr. witnessed a rollover car crash on Cedar Street in Beverly on a Sunday afternoon last week, he rushed to help. He got the 66-year-old man out of the car, and began CPR.
Beverly Police Officers Josh Pickett and Ted Lane arrived soon after, and continued the CPR. When they saw the victim wasn't breathing, officers used a defibrillator to revive the victim, according to Beverly Police.
Members of the Beverly Fire Department and paramedics from Northeast Ambulance Service assisted on scene before the man was transported to Beverly Hospital, where he survived. Police believe the driver suffered a medical episode leading up to the crash, which is under investigation.
