Elks National Hoop Shoot Competition Coming To North Shore

The Beverly/Peabody Elks Lodge #1309 will host the competition at the Beverly School for the Deaf Gymnasium.

BEVERLY, MA — Young basketball players from across the North Shore are invited to take part in the Elks National Youth Hoop Shoot competition coming to Beverly next weekend.

The competition, hosted by the Beverly/Peabody Elks Lodge #1309, will be held on Jan. 14 at the Beverly School for the Deaf Gymnasium. It is open to boys and girls ages 8 through 13 in the Beverly, Danvers, Peabody, Salem, Marblehead, Swampscott and Middleton area.

The competition will be in three age groups with players ages 12-13 having registration at 9 a.m. with the shooting at 9:30 p.m, players ages 8- 9 having registration at 10:30 a.m. with the shooting at 11 a.m., and players ages 10-11 having registration at 12:30 p.m. with shooting at 1 p.m.

Each participant will receive a T-shirt at the time of registration.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division. The six first-place finishers (1 boy and 1 girl in each division) will get a jacket.
