Endicott College To Bring Back Fans For The Fall Season

For the first time since winter 2020, fans will be allowed on campus to cheer on the Gulls with some coronavirus protocols in place.

BEVERLY, MA — Fans will be allowed back on campus for the first time in more than 18 months to cheer on the Gulls this fall.

The school is inviting those both inside and outside of the Beverly school community to come to this fall's slate of games at full capacity with certain coronavirus protocols remaining in place.

"While we have long awaited our fall student-athletes returning to competition, we must continue to make adjustments to prioritize their health and the health of the Endicott community," the Endicott athletic department said. "We will continue to monitor mask-wearing and tailgating policies throughout the fall based on the ongoing COVID-19 recommendations and health and safety guidelines from local, state and federal agencies."

Intercollegiate athletics were canceled in March 2020 at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. The fall and winter seasons were then canceled last year before a spring season was played, although fans were not allowed to attend games.

This fall, unvaccinated student-athletes and fans will be required to wear masks both indoors and outdoors. Anyone who feels more comfortable wearing a mask is invited to do so.

Tailgating is not permitted before or after sports events at the start of the fall.

All sports events are planned to be allowed fans at full capacity. Coolers, backpacks and tobacco products continue to be prohibited.
