Fake $20 bill, a close call with a bong, and more from the Beverly Police log.

  • Officers were flagged down by a taxi driver earlier this month who had just dropped off a passenger on Pickman Road after midnight but didn't think the man had made it into the house. Police found the man face down in a pile of mulch with one shoe off and a possible broken ankle. The man was taken to the hospital.
  • Police arrested Andrew T. Murley, 30, of Beverly, on charges of drunken driving on Friday, Jan. 13, around 11 p.m. after someone called to report a man passed out in a truck in a parking lot on Rantoul Street.
  • Officers found two juveniles about to smoke pot from a bong inside a car at the Beverly Farms train station on Friday, Jan. 13, around 9 p.m. The juveniles were released to their mothers.
  • Police took a report of someone throwing an egg at a car on Elliott Street last Monday around 7 a.m.
  • Sabastian C. Snyder, 25, of Wenham, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, driving an uninsured vehicle, and failure to use care in stopping after police responded to a minor car accident on Dodge Street last Thursday afternoon.
  • Officers searched for a person with a gas mask on wearing camouflage last Friday around 9 a.m. on Herrick Street, but did not find anyone.
  • Police took a report of a fake $20 bill used at a Rantoul Street convenience store on Friday around 2:30 p.m.
