Items From The Beverly Police Log

Runaway safe, holy lawn, and other police log items from Nov. 4 to Nov. 7.

  • A small safe was stolen from a Blaine Avenue residence last Friday, as reported around 3 p.m.
  • Berqui Huertas, 55, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of shoplifting after someone called officers from a Rantoul Street business around 3 p.m. on Saturday.
  • Liam MacKenzie, 27, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of shoplifting after an Elliott Street business called police on Saturday around 5 p.m.
  • Two cars were broken into overnight on Adams Avenue, as reported on Saturday around 1 p.m.
  • Someone reported small patches of lawn missing at an Everett Street residence on Sunday around 11:30 a.m. Officers report that the holes are from an animal.
  • Officers pulled a woman over after she drove around a coned-off lane, went on the wrong side of a traffic island, and drove on the wrong side of Brimbal Avenue on Sunday around midnight.
  • An off-duty officer reportedly saw a person in a dark coat doing heroin in a parking lot on Enon Street around 5 p.m. Monday, but no one was found in the area.
