Jogger Problems, and Other Items From the Beverly Police Log

Police log items from this week.

  • Cody Goodwin, 18, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of carrying a dangerous weapon and violating a city ordinance on Friday morning after someone reported an argument in a car.
  • Officers responded to a call of a runner brushed by a passing car on Essex Street around 4 p.m. on Monday.
  • Two car accidents with the same driver within half an hour on Monday evening prompted police to apply for an immediate threat. The driver reportedly hit a pedestrian on Enon Street, and got into another accident in an Enon Street parking lot.
  • Two people were escorted off the train on Monday at 9 p.m. at the MBTA's request. No arrests were made.
  • Police and an ambulance responded to a possible overdose on Cornell Road around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
  • A jogger lodged a complaint about a dog that startled her this morning because it was "not properly leashed" on Amherst Road around 7 a.m.
