Landmark Market to be Sold, Merge with Local Chain
Henry's Market in North Beverly will have a new owner in January and expand its food offerings to another North Shore chain of markets.

Henry’s Market, the North Beverly instritution known for its homemade chicken pot pies, baked good and personal service, will be sold.
Crosby’s Marketplace will buy Henry’s on Jan. 1. The sale was first reported Friday morning by the Salem News.
Crosby’s was founded in 1979 in Salem and also has local locations in Hamilton, Manchester-by-the-Sea and Marblehead.

The 73-year-old Henry’s Market, which sits prominently along Cabot Street in North Beverly across from the fire station, was owned by founder Henry Swanson until 2005, when it was bought by John Koehane. Keohane will remain working for Crosby’s.
Henry’s will keep its name, the Salem News said, and all of the employees will stay on board, Henry’s said.

As part of the deal, Henry’s ”fine food selections” will be available at all of Crosby’s locations.
