Library to Remain Closed Tuesday for Construction
Shuttle buses will run between the main branch and Beverly Farms branch library and children's programs will happen at the Hardie building.

The main branch of the Beverly Public Library will remain closed on Tuesday, Aug. 12 because of the ongoing construction work on the building. The building was also closed on Monday.
The Beverly Farms branch is open for extended hours on Tuesday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
“We greatly appreciate your patience, and apologize for any inconvenience,” the library said in announcing the changes.

Overdue fines will be waived during the construction. A shuttle bus will run between the main branch all day on Tuesday, with the shuttle picking up passengers at the main library on the half hour starting at 9:30 a.m. and pick-ups at the Farms branch on the hour.
Children’s story hours will be held in the Hardie Building at Montserrat College of Art, which is directly across Essex Street from the library on Beverly Common.

Children’s storytimes will be held on the second floor in room 201 for various ages.
Baby (newborn–18 months): Tuesday, 9:30 a.m.
Toddler (18 months–3 years): Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
Pre-school (3 years and up): Tuesday, 1:15 p.m.
Staff will also be available both days from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. PM in the courtyard to receive reading logs from kids and teens already registered for Summer Reading. The deadline for turning in reading minutes for children who have already registered has been extended to Thursday, Aug. 14. For the Teen Summer Reading Program, the deadline for Level 3 has been extended to Thursday, Aug. 14.
