Locked in Car Wash, Drunk Man Dancing: Beverly Police Log

Police responded to Railroad Avenue last Monday on a report of a disturbance around 10:30 p.m. Roommates were arguing over the TV volume and noise made in the kitchen, but agreed to go to bed for the evening.

Officers took a report of a person locked in a car wash at Margin and Bridge streets last Tuesday around 9 a.m.

Someone called police to report a drunk man dancing on Elliott Street last Tuesday around 11 a.m.

Police responded to a report of a man pushing a woman last Wednesday around 4:30 p.m. Officers found that the woman had fallen after her boot got stuck, and the pair was just walking home after drinking at China Jade.

Someone tried to walk out of the CVS on Dodge Street with $130 worth of merchandise, mostly stool softeners, last Wednesday around 6 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of kids on the roof of Centerville Elementary School on Thursday around 5 p.m., but police didn't find anyone on the roof.

A city snowblower reportedly threw snow on a parked vehicle at the Whole Foods construction site on Brimbal Avenue on Friday morning. The owner of the vehicle "became enraged," and the two started arguing.

After responding to a neighbor dispute over shovels on Broadway last Friday, police recommended that the shovel owners write their names or initials on their respective shovels.

Police responded to a report of a man laying on the sidewalk on Herrick Street on Friday around 9 p.m., and found needles, burnt spoons, cotton balls, and a folded playing card with white powder residue in his bag. The man said he had been shooting cocaine.
