Man Reported with a Handgun on Bow Street

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department activity logs:
Wednesday, Feb. 27
- Police were called to Sohier Road at 12:31 a.m. on report of a person believing someone had stolen his "dispositions," which police said were "incomprehensible scribblings on cardboard" and random drawings. The person was able to relocate the items.
- At 9:12 a.m. a disturbance was reported in the solicitors office at Beverly City Hall. Police said the person in question left without incident.
- Facebook threats were reported on Sohier Road at 2:05 p.m.
- Police were called to Sohier Road at 3:06 p.m. on report of minors in possession of alcohol.
- A vehicle break-in was reported on Neptune Street at 3:26 p.m.
- A neighbor dispute over parking was reported at 5:04 p.m. Police said one resident believes another is parking too closely to her vehicle.
- At 7:17 p.m. police were called to the area of Cabot and Balch Street on report of a 17-year-old female who had fled from her mother's vehicle. Police searched the area, but she was found back with her family.

- A vehicle was reported maliciously damaged on Park Street at 11:21 a.m.
- Police were called to Rantoul Street at 11:33 p.m. on report of a woman saying a man was bothering a child. Police said the woman stated a man was "staring at her son for a long time and confronted him." The man denied any wrongdoing.
- A vehicle reportedly bumped the front corner of the Beverly shopping plaza on Elliott Street at 1:45 p.m. No damage was reported to the vehicle or building.
- A missing UPS package was reportedly possibly stolen at 2:50 p.m.
- Police were called to Mill Street at 7:31 p.m. on report of a young child alone in the hallway for the second time. Police said a report was filed with the Department of Social Services and the person involved was notified verbally.
- Police were called to Park Street at 9:49 p.m. on report of a woman sitting in the passenger seat of a parked vehicle with her head in her hands. When police spoke to her she told police she was too intoxicated to go inside and was waiting for her friend to come out and give her a ride home. Police said everything appeared in order.
- Police were called to Rantoul Street on report of a rowdy group in a parking lot at 11 p.m. Reports said there were two groups of males yelling at each other, possibly fighting. When police arrived they got in their cars and left the area peacefully.
Friday, March 1
- Police were called to Bow Street at 4:10 a.m. on report of a "male with a handgun." Police searched the area but did not locate him; it was unclear if the suspect was on foot on driving.
- At 4:26 a.m. police located a suspicious vehicle alongside the Salem Police. Cody Farris, 20, of 160 Park St., was arrested on two warrant charges.
- Credit card fraud was reported on Cabot Street at 12:18 p.m.
