Neighborhood Celebrate with 'Thanksgiving First Thursday' Meal

A first-ever neighborhood Thanksgiving meal is planned in Gloucester Crossing.

The Gloucester Crossing neighborhood will celebrate Thanksgiving together during a first-ever community dinnrr.

The “Thanksgiving First Thursday” meal will be served on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. at Stephy’s Kitchen on Beckford Street.

The North Shore Community Development Coalition worked to put together the meal, which will have the help of neighbors cooking turkeys, plus corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, apple cider and gravy. Garden City Church for donated 10 pounds of potatoes plus two 20 pound turkeys and Beverly Main Streets donated 15 boxes of stuffing.

Representatives from the city of Beverly’s Economic and Community Development department will be at the dinner to make a presentation about a Community Development Block Grant the city is applying for, hoping to fund repairs to the streets and sidewalks in the Gloucester Crossing neighborhood.
