Obituary: Lino W. Tadiello, 85, Longtime Owner of Lighthouse Cafe in Beverly

Lino W. Tadiello, 85, owned and operated the Lighthouse Café in Beverly for over 45 years and was a member of the Italian Community Center.

Lino W. Tadiello, 85, beloved husband of Barbara (Lewis) Tadiello, with whom he shared over 40 years of marriage, passed away Sunday, Nov. 16 at Beverly Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born in Peabody, he is the son of the late Celeste and Angelina (Cassanello) Tadiello.

Lino grew up in Peabody, and was a graduate of Peabody High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. Lino owned and operated the Lighthouse Café in Beverly for over 45 years until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of the Italian Community Center of Beverly, the Union Club of Beverly and the Beverly Elks. Lino enjoyed sports, and sponsored many softball, dart and football leagues. He had a love of antique cars, fishing, boating and spending time at his camp in Sanford, Maine. Lino was a very kind and generous man and will truly be missed.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by four children: Ronald Tadiello and his wife Charlene, David Tadiello and his wife Debbie, Laurie Sheehan and Timmy Sheehan; along with many grand children, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Thomas J. Sheehan and his brother Guido Tadiello.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours were held on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
