Mary W. (Woods) Buck, 87, formerly of Beverly and Wenham, was a Beverly High School graduate and accomplished seamstress.

Mary W. (Woods) Buck, 87, formerly of Beverly and Wenham, beloved wife of George A. Buck, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014 at the Beaumont Health Care Center in Worcester.
Born and raised in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Edna (Cottle) Woods. She received her education in the Beverly school system and graduated from Beverly High School.

Mrs. Buck had been employed as an office clerk at the United Shoe Machine Corp. in Beverly. At the time of her retirement, she was working as a safety officer at the University of New Hampshire.
A resident of Wenham for over 30 years before moving to Rochester, N.H. in 1985, she enjoyed traveling with her husband to the mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire to admire the fall foliage. An accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed sewing, cross stitching and making dresses for her granddaughters. Mary also liked to read, watch her favorite TV shows and cooking, especially chocolate chip cookies. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her loving husband, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage, she is survived by two daughters, Nancy Frances and her husband, John of Shrewsbury and Linda Lembree and her husband, Greg of Omaha, Nebraska, two sons, George Buck and his wife, Susan of Seabrook, N.H. and James Buck and his wife, Kristin of Beverly, 10 grandchildren, Jonathan, Linda and her husband, Paul, Christopher, Elizabeth and her husband, Corey, Daniel, Michael, Catherine, Thomas, Jennifer and Kenneth, five great grandchildren, Brianna, Sydney, Jacob, Kaylee and William and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly, Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private. Contributions may be made in her memory to Toys for Tots at www.toysfortots.org.
