Possible Suicidal Person Tells Police He Was Just Stargazing

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police log:
Monday, Oct. 8
- Police were called to Rantoul Street at 6:04 p.m. on report of a man punching walls and yelling. When police arrived he was no longer on the scene.
- Police were called to Elliott Street at 7:56 p.m. on report that two kids may have been stealing a scooter from a vehicle. Police learned one of the kids was just taking the vehicle out of his aunt's car.

- At 6:13 a.m. police were called to Chase Street on report of a man yelling in an apartment. The man told police he was yelling and slammed a door because he 'couldn't find his work stuff'.
- Police were called to Super Stop & Shop on report of a shoplifter who allegedly stole 15 cans of baby formula and diapers at 12:31 p.m.
- Police were called to Grant Street at 7:40 p.m. on report of a loud fight in the middle of the street. When police arrived they were gone.
- Police were called to the Beverly-Salem Bridge at 9:42 p.m. on report of a suicidal female.
Wednesday, Oct. 10
- At 12:25 a.m. police were called to the Beverly-Salem Bridge on report of a person on top of the bridge. The individual told police he/she was just looking at the stars.
- Police were called to a Rantoul Street apartment at 4:49 a.m. on report of an individual who was stomping on the floor and playing loud music.
