Pressure Cooker Left Out for Trash Creates Scare, No Danger Found
The State Police bomb squad was called to check out an "unattended pressure cooker" left out for the trash on Thursday morning in Beverly.

A pressure cooker left out for trash pickup on Charnock Street on Thursday morning created a scare.
The State Police bomb squad was called to assist Beverly police and fire departments check out an “unattended pressure cooker” before 8 a.m.
“Precautionary measures were taken which led to no threat or explosive device,” said Beverly Police Officer Mike Boccuzzi, a department spokesman.

The bomb squad deployed a robot to check the pressure cooker and crews were in the area with the streets blocked off for more than an hour, according to neighbors. The streets were reopened and emergency crews cleared at about 10 a.m.
