Route 128 Accident: Beverly Fire, Police Respond Sunday

The driver of a "seriously damaged" escaped injury after a Sunday morning accident.

BEVERLY, MA – Mass. State Police, the Beverly Fire Department, and Beverly Police responded to an accident on Route 128 northbound on Sunday morning, according to the police log.

According to the log, the accident occurred near Exit 20 around 6 a.m. A Beverly Fire Department Facebook post said Engine 5 found a car in the guardrail and a tanker truck a short distance away. The driver of the car, which Beverly Fire Department pictures show to be very damaged, was found to have no injuries and wasn't taken to the hospital.
