Sandler Movie Filmed On North Shore Back On After Coronavirus
Adam Sandler's 'Hubie Halloween,' which shot in Massachusetts last summer, is scheduled to resume filming this weekend in Los Angeles.

BEVERLY, MA — "Hubie Halloween," the Adam Sandler movie for Netflix which filmed in multiple North Shore locations last summer, is among the first productions to resume work after the coronavirus shutdown of Hollywood.
The production crew will shoot some final scenes in Los Angeles Saturday, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Those scenes center on Sandler's co-star, Julie Bowen. Other cast members include Kevin James, Maya Rudolph, Ray Liotta, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Michael Chiklis and Kenan Thompson.
Crew members working on the film on Saturday will be tested for COVID-19. The film had nearly finished shooting when the coronavirus shutdown film production in Hollywood.

Last summer, producers held an open casting call that drew hundreds of people to Marblehead. The movie is set in Salem, where several scenes were filmed. Other Massachusetts shooting locations included Danvers, Marblehead and the Mendon Drive-In movie theater.
Sandler was spotted in several North Shore businesses last summer, including grabbing lunch with his mother at Organic Garden Cafe in Beverly.
