Thunderstorms Postpone Black Lives Matter March

About 75 people held a two-hour rally in front of Beverly City Hall when the forecast scuttled plans for a seven-mile march.

BEVERLY, MA — About 75 people gathered in front of Beverly City Hall Tuesday for a Black Lives Matter protest.

Organizers had originally planned a seven-mile march from Beverly, through Salem and to the Unitarian Universalist Church in Marblehead to protest the theft of a Black Lives Matter banner in Beverly and the vandalism of a similar banner at the Marblehead church. But the plan was changed when Tuesday afternoon's forecast called for thunderstorms.
